Atlántida · Honduras
La Ceiba, capital of the department of Atlántida, is on the Caribbean coast of Honduras, between the sea and the Nombre de Dios mountains. It is the ferry gateway to Roatán and Utila and sits close to Pico Bonito National Park, the Cangrejal River and the Cayos Cochinos: beach homes, family houses and land with tourism potential.

Being on the coast, Article 107 of the Constitution applies to anyone who is not a native-born Honduran. Also check the distance to rivers and the ground level in the rainy season.
CARACOL Real Estate publishes reviewed listings of houses, apartments and land in La Ceiba, arranges private viewings and supports owners who sell or rent. Each property's exact location is shared once a viewing is confirmed.
It depends on the location. Article 107 of the Honduran Constitution reserves land within 40 km of the borders and coastline, and land on the islands, for native-born Hondurans (and wholly Honduran companies); buying urban property in those zones is governed by special legislation. Before signing, confirm with a Honduran notary which route applies to you.
That the property is registered at the Instituto de la Propiedad in the seller's name and free of liens, that municipal taxes are paid and that the measurements match the survey. CARACOL reviews the published documents, but the deed is executed by a notary.
